MARRAKESH - SAFI EARTHQUAKE

After witnessing the devastating aftermath of the 2010 earthquake in Haiti, I made a solemn vow to myself: if ever faced with a similar natural disaster, I would rush to offer assistance or capture its story. When news of the earthquake in Morocco emerged, I felt an unwavering sense of duty. Having been enchanted by Morocco's rich culture and vibrant landscapes during previous visits, I knew I had to act. With a camera in hand and a single change of clothes, I journeyed to the earthquake-ravaged Atlas Mountains, driven by a deep desire to document the resilience of the people and the beauty amidst the ruins.
